– Amanda Jameson: Amanda is an avid hiker and blogger, focusing her content on diversity in long-distance hiking. Through her published works and posts on her blog, “Brown Girl on the NST,” Amanda discuss both the logistical preparations for long-distance backpacking trips and weaved her own lived experiences, commentary on race, history, culture, and heritage, and how that impact different communities of color and the outdoors. At the event, Amanda will lead a leave no trace workshop and gear demo.
Organizations including the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Mile High Youth Corps, and Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) will be on site to discuss how different organizations are working to protect our public landscapes.
